Informatica.
Hannah Lane’s recent series of paintings embody a collaborations with artificially intelligent processes. The works are created in tandem with an AI driven dice. Lane’s paintings inhabit the space between information and uncertainty, which leads to a wonderful displays of color. The dots work much like a bit of data which are manipulated by the dice. Giving input in which directions the series of data will travel and for how long. Through color and pattern the pieces in the exhibition show how much room there is between structure and chaos. Specifically in Sotenbori where difference in colors reveal a larger grid structure below. Curiouser KC is happy to present a sweep of the new developments in the artists work.
