Make it stand out.
Fresh Faces: recent works by Andy Ozier and Stefan Schulz. Two Kansas City artists whose interest in various materials and processes takes the form of human character. Through this they can achieve a wide variety of expressions. The masks collection is a broad range that expresses their interest in human emotion.
Masks have functioned in many forms throughout history. To some, as magical object, that appear in rites of passage or as props in forms of theatre. Equally they have been used as disguises or to preside over important ceremonies or as display objects. The masks ability to cary so much human interest makes them potent works of art. We’re excited to have these works on display through the month of April.
